You could use free online translations but they often come up with incorrect words, and sentences that are incomprehensible.

German to English
There were over 3,000,000 overnight stays in Switzerland by UK and USA visitors in 2014 (source Wikipedia). Many more tourists from other countries will have to communicate in English, like Indians and Chinese. This means the majority of visitors to Switzerland understand English. It is important that these tourists receive information on leaflets and websites in clear, simple and natural language.
Many hotels and tourist attractions provide no information in English. Those that do have it often use an online translator or a non-English born translator and you may receive a less than perfect translation. For example ‘wellness’ is a common word in Switzerland but rarely used in England - the word ‘health’ or ‘well-being’ is used. Accommodation never has an ‘s’ at the end of it. An extreme example of a nonsensical translation is the use of ‘propaganda’ instead of ‘recommendation’ – they have very different meanings indeed!

Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass Touristen alle Informationen in Broschüren, Flyern und Websites in klarer, verständlicher und korrekter englischer Sprache erhalten.
